Chef & Founder
James Bell is the founder of Salt, Sugar & Lemon. Chef Bell started in the food industry at age 13 for a family owned restaurant in Ohio. He moved on to the corporate restaurant industry working in fast casual, pizza chains to upscale casual dining restaurants including Corporate Executive chef for Champps Restaurants, Fox and Hound and Village inn. Chef Bell also worked in the food retail industry and sharpening his natural and organic food knowledge as Executive Chef for Wild Oats Markets. Chef Bell attended the Culinary School of the Rockies and received a culinary arts degree with High Honors.
"Being a chef people always ask what is your favorite dish or restaurant. this is a very difficult question for a chef because we love all food. So i started answering people with my 3 favorite ingredients. Salt, Sugar & Lemon in that order!" that is where the name came from for the catering company.
